A brief look at the concept of chakras for consideration in our subject of the days and the Imams (and the chakras)
For those unfamiliar with the idea of chakras, I am posting this description below.
Please consider the idea as a part of our ongoing discussion on this blog.
Chakras are the main energy interface points in the body. Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning 'wheel' or 'turning' because they act like wheels of energy or junction boxes carrying information about our emotional, spiritual, mental and physical state and transmitting that around the body. When we have issues at any level of our being energy blocks are usually to be found in one or more of these chakras. This disrupts our body's internal communication so that we are no longer experiencing an easy flow, both in our body, mind, emotions and our spiritual connection as well as in our life. There are seven major chakras in the physical body as well as many minor ones. There are also other important ones above our head and below our feet. They act:
as exit points for negative energy, such as unhelpful thought or behaviour patterns from this life or from our karmic memory which we need to release as entry points for positive energy to enter - often experienced as inspiration, insight, spiritual connection or a sense of emotional or physical wellbeing.
