The Truth: saying of Imam Ali (as) - Part 1

In these days of Ashura where we lost our 3rd Imam in his cause to uphold the truth, I would like to post the sayings of his father the 1st Holy Imam , Imam Ali (as) on the truth.

Truth is an incisive sword

Truth is the best way

Truth is the strongest supporter

Truth is the clearest course

The truth is worthier of being followed

Assisting one another to establish the truth is [a sign of] trustworthiness and faith

Truth is a sword [to fight] against the followers of falsehood

Truth is a refuge for every worker (and an arguement for every speaker)

Through truth, the petitioner gets support

It is by turning away from the truth that misguidance comes about

By clinging to the truth, support is received

There is truth and falsehood, and each has its followers

Truth that harms is better than falsehood that brings joy

Plunge into hardships to [arrive at] the truth whereever it may be

May Allah have mercy on the person who enlives the truth, causes falsehood to die, fights against oppression and establishes justice

The peak of wisdom is clinging to the truth and obeying the one who stands for the truth

Seeking assistance to establish the truth is [a sign of]faith and uprightness

Cling to the things that necessitate the  [establishment of] truth and beware of the things that transpose falsities [to make them seem true]

Your return to the truth is better than your persisting in falsehood
